About Conrad · The Publicist Mind
Conrad Brain is a fictional publicist: silver hair, dark-rimmed glasses, a navy suit that seems to be woven from starlight, and a calm that makes reporters slightly nervous.
He has seen every kind of bad day: the recall, the leaked memo, the founder's late-night post, the one regrettable reply-all. His advice is nearly always the same. Find out what is true. Say it first. Say it well. Then do the work that makes the next headline a good one.

What Conrad really is
Behind the character is a sovereign AI: open-weight language models running on hardware Webspinner owns, in an ordinary office, rather than in someone else's data center. Conrad is trained in the discipline of crisis communications, governed by a rules engine he cannot override, and supervised by people.
Open
Built on openly licensed models and open-source software, so the mind behind your crisis is inspectable, not a black box rented by the word.
Private
Your materials are processed on machines we run. Nothing about your crisis is sent to a public AI service.
Governed
Demi, our deterministic rules engine, checks every proposal against the guardrails. People approve every word that goes out.
About the name
Conrad Brain is our own original character, inspired by Conrad Brean, the spin doctor of the 1997 film Wag the Dog, who manufactured a war to distract from a scandal. We borrowed the swagger and kept none of the methods. Our Conrad would have told the president the truth, drafted the statement, and had him on the morning shows by seven.
Conrad Brain is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the film, its makers, its distributors or its cast. His look and personality are our own design.
Conrad Brain is a service of Webspinner, which builds sovereign AI that ordinary people and organisations can own and run. Meet our founder, John David Marx.
